Aubrey Fouts, QKA, QKC, QKS

Aubrey serves as MVP’s Director of Plan Audits & Strategic Initiatives, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in retirement plan administration and deep expertise in large-plan audits, trust accounting, and regulatory compliance. Her Qualified 401(k) Consultant (QKA, QKC and QKS) designations through ASPPA further supports her ability to deliver thoughtful, high-quality service to clients and provide strong technical leadership across the firm.

In her leadership role, Aubrey provides strategic direction and oversight for Plan Audits and Strategic Initiatives. She mentors and develops staff and helps cultivate a collaborative, deadline-driven environment that aligns with MVP’s mission and service standards. She works closely with peers across departments, fostering cross-functional partnership and contributing to a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Her technical expertise extends to compliance testing and plan analysis, including ADP/ACP, 410(b), 414(s), 401(a)(4), 415, and top-heavy testing. She evaluates contribution strategies, models employer funding scenarios, and identifies correction methods using EPCRS principles to support clients in meeting their compliance obligations. Aubrey also leads the creation and maintenance of internal policies, procedures, and documentation standards, ensuring accuracy, usability, and alignment with regulatory requirements.

A forward-thinking leader, Aubrey explores AI tools, advanced SRT functionality, and new technologies to enhance reporting capabilities, operational efficiency, and internal knowledge. She develops and delivers training on system corrections, reporting tools, and audit processes to strengthen team expertise. Additionally, she contributes to content development, client education materials, and the planning of future learning channels to support client engagement and understanding.

Aubrey is widely recognized as a go-to resource for questions related to audits, Form 5500s, SRT transactions, quarterly balancing, and internal procedures.

Outside of work, Aubrey is a flutist and avid gardener. If she’s not tending to her garden, she’s likely immersed in true-crime stories while working on a home project. She also loves going on adventures with her dogs or attending music concerts with her husband.
