As our fellow North and South Carolinians are recovering from Hurricane Florence, our hearts go out to all of our clients and business partners who have been affected by this storm. MVP would like to offer assistance in any way we can as you begin the recovery process. We also wanted to pass along some important tax relief information from the IRS. The current relief provides businesses in certain affected areas an extended period of time to file corporate tax returns, including the Form 5500 for the retirement plan. The extended due date of the Form 5500 for those Employers in the affected area is January 31, 2019.
